 Ceiling Radiation Dampers are used in a fire-rated ceiling to impede migration of high temperatures into and through the duct system.  They are required where a suspended ceiling is part of a fire rating for the floor or roof above the suspended ceiling.

This damper can be installed multiple ways.  You can use your own boot or plenum box and still retain the UL Rating, or you can order it with a factory installed boot or plenum box for maximum convenience.

Lau’s CCD7 is also UL listed for wood joist ceiling designs, and the only ceiling radiation damper in the industry that is UL listed for steel joint assemblies.
